ZERO IMPACT SOURCE

Thanks to the technology used, the Multi Sentry solves any insertion problem in installations where the supply network has limited power, where the inverter is also supplied by a generator or in all types of cases where there is compatibility problems with loads that generate current harmonics; in fact the Multi Sentry has zero impact on the power source, whether it is the network or a generator:

  • input current distortion less than 2.5%

  • input power factor 0.99

  • power walk-in function which guarantees a gradual starting of the rectifier

  • delayed start-up function to sequence the start-ups of the rectifiers on return to the network in the event that there are several inverters in the installation

The Multi Sentry also acts as a filter and rephasing to the supply network upstream of the inverter insofar as it eliminates the harmonic components and the reactive power generated by the uses supplied.

BATTERY CARE SYSTEM

Battery management is fundamental to ensure the proper functioning of the UPS in emergency conditions. The Battery Care System consists of a series of functions and services that allow accumulator batteries to be managed in order to obtain the best performance and prolong their life.

Battery Charging: Multi Sentry is suitable for use with sealed lead acid (VRLA), AGM and GEL, open cup and Nickel Cadmium batteries. Depending on the type of battery, there are two charging methods.

  • Single level recharge, typically used for most common VRLA AGM batteries.

  • Charging at two voltage levels according to the IU characteristic.

  • Charge blocking system to reduce electrolyte consumption and further extend the life of VRLA batteries.

Temperature-dependent charging voltage compensation to prevent over-charging and overheating of the batteries
Battery test for early diagnosis of reduced performance or possible battery failure
Protection against deep discharges: in the presence of long-term and low-load discharges, the end-of-discharge voltage is increased as prescribed by the battery manufacturers to avoid damage or reduced performance of the accumulators.
Current Ripple: The ripple (residual AC component) of recharging current is one of the most important causes that reduce reliability and battery life. Thanks to the high frequency battery charger, the Multi Sentry reduces this value to negligible levels and thus prolongs its service life while maintaining high performance for a long time.
Wide voltage range: the rectifier is designed to be able to operate with a wide range of input voltage values ​​(up to - 40% at half load), which reduces the need to resort to discharging the batteries and, therefore, prolongs their life.

FLEXIBILITY

Thanks to its flexible configuration characteristics, accessories, available options and performance, the Multi Sentry can be used for a wide variety of applications:

  • ideal for powering capacitive loads such as blade servers, without any reduction in active power, from 0.9 early to 0.9 late

  • ON LINE, ECO, SMART ACTIVE and STANDBY OFF operating modes

  • frequency converter mode

  • Power Share sockets configurable to preserve autonomy for the most critical loads or to activate only in the event of a network failure

  • Cold Start to start the UPS even without power

  • battery cabinets of various sizes and capacities, to provide extended backup times

  • possibility of connecting the temperature sensor for external battery cabinets, for recharging voltage compensation

  • additional battery chargers to optimize recharging times

  • possibility of double entry of the supply network

  • Isolation transformers to modify the neutral system in the event of separate sources or for galvanic isolation between input and output.

ADVANCED COMMUNICATION

The Multi Sentry is equipped with a graphic display which allows to visualize the information, the measurements, the states and the alarms of the inverter in 8 different languages.

  • Advanced, multi-platform communication for all operating systems and network environments: PowerShield3 monitoring and fence software included with SNMP agent

  • Compatible with TeleNetGuard for remote assistance service

  • RS232 or USB serial port

  • 3 slots for installing optional communication accessories such as network adapter, voltage free contacts, etc.

  • REPO Remote Emergency Power Off for shutting down the inverter by remote emergency stop button

  • Input for connecting the auxiliary contact of an external manual bypass

  • Input for synchronization from an external source

  • Graphic display for remote connection.

LOW MANAGEMENT COST


The technology and the choice of high performance components allow Multi Sentry to achieve exceptional performance and performance:


• high efficiency of up to 96.5% which allows saving 35% of the energy dissipated in one year, compared to a similar product on the market (average efficiency 91%). The exceptional return value allows the initial investment to be recouped in less than 4 years of operation.
• 0.9pF factor output power (1pF for 160-200 kVA models) which provides up to 15% (20% for 160-200 kVA models) in more active power compared to a normal inverter, ensuring thus a greater margin in the sizing of the inverter in view of subsequent potential load increases.
